camp is situated in the tranquil village of Ädelfors, with
its rolling meadows and tall pine trees. The river Emån
glides through this beautiful setting as it has done for over

the instructors show you how to pan for gold, and how to process
it. After a lesson in panning you will be left alone to try it
for yourself. With the instructors close to hand if any questions
you have about panning. ![]() Instructors showing how to pan for gold.. The depth of
the river around the panning area is about 15 cm deep, with tree
stumps situated all around so that you can comfortably sit and
relax when panning. Also provided is a tarpaulin roof, which
protects you from the sun and rain. There are open areas if you
wish to get a tan while panning. ![]() ![]() Sun and rain protection covers over the panning area. Once you find gold in you pan you then transfer it to a special container. This enables you start the process again as quick as possible, Also if you fill the need for a break to get something to eat or just walk around, you can take the gold that you have found with you and then return after your break. To learn how to pan for gold does not come easy so we recommend that you need to spend about 3 hours practice before you master the art. So you should plan a full day enjoying yourself with us in Ädelfors. The longer you stay the more gold you find. A day ticket is from 10.00 until 18.00. Most of the
gold that you find is called gold flakes and is about 1 millimetre
in diameter, but there is lots of it and some of our guest have
found over 200 pieces in one try!! You might even find bigger
pieces or even small nuggets. Everybody finds gold, and at the
end of the day we put all the gold that you have found into a
glass container which instantly begins to glitter against the
dark blue background. Now that´s what I call a really nice
souvenir from Sweden.
