along the river. Many people come with there own equipment, sluice

always old timers there that will give you advice good or bad
on how to extract gold from the river.
There are also a number of gold mines in the area which you can
visit, the most famous is Ädelfors gold mine where they
mined for over 175 years. Today people still find gold in the
stones which lye around the entrance to the mine, and of course

More
information about the gold in Ädelfors:
The gold bearing Quarts in Ädelfors evoled for about 1.75
billion years ago, when the volcanic activity was at its peak
in this part of the world.
Gold
is fond for the first time in the year 1737, and one year after
that the first swedish mine company was formed. Since then there
has been claims in over 90 different areas all round the Äldefors
area.
The Äldelfors gold mines can be visited today and is only
3 km from the goldpanning centre.
The
hard weather breaks down the mountain into small particles which
then washes its way into the valleys surrounding the mountain.
Small particles of gold are also washed down into the rivers
and brooks and this is today what we search after.
